Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (Sometimes Happy, Sometimes Sad) is a Bollywood film released in India and the countries with a population of citizens of the Republic of India (NRI / National Republic of India), most others on December 14, 2001.

The film is related to kinship and romance, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukerji. This is the second film directed by Karan Johar (after Kuch Kuch Hota Hai).

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham ... India is the best-selling films in international marketing by 2006. The record was surpassed by the third film Karan Johar, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. Film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham was ranked third in the UK box office in just over two weeks since it was released, and persisted for more than 3 weeks. The film was ranked 32nd in the U.S. box office, since it was released on January 4, 2002 in America. This film is the first Bollywood film that was released by the German cinema (with German subtitles, dubbing the German version is produced as well).

In this film Raichand Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan) is a stepchild collected by his father and mother, while Karan (Hritik Roshan) is their biological child. They all loved each other dear.
